Refund Policy

Last updated: 9 August 2026

This Refund Policy explains when money paid to Tuesday Markets Ltd can be returned to you, and how to request it. It applies to the Tuesday Markets website (tuesday.africa) and mobile applications, and should be read together with our Terms and Conditions.

In short: deposits are your own funds and can be withdrawn at any time, but trades that have already been executed on the exchange are final and cannot be refunded or reversed.

1. Deposits Are Not Purchases

Money you transfer to Tuesday Markets is a deposit into your own investment account, not a payment for goods or a subscription. It remains your money and is held for the purpose of settling your trades. Any uninvested balance can be withdrawn at any time by requesting a withdrawal from your account, subject to the checks described below.

2. Withdrawing Uninvested Funds

  • You may request a withdrawal of any available cash balance at any time through the app or by contacting our support team.
  • Withdrawals are paid only to a bank or mobile-money account held in your own name, after identity verification is complete.
  • Withdrawal requests are normally processed within 3 to 5 business days. The time it then takes for funds to reach you depends on your bank or payment provider.
  • Bank, mobile-money, and currency-conversion charges applied by third-party providers are deducted from the amount transferred and are not refundable by us.

3. Executed Trades Are Final

Once an order has been matched and executed on the exchange, the trade is binding and cannot be refunded, cancelled, or reversed. This includes losses caused by market movements after your trade. Orders that have not yet been executed may be cancelled or amended in line with our Trading Rules and the applicable Auction Rules, and any funds reserved for a cancelled order are returned to your available balance.

4. Fees and Commissions

Brokerage commissions, exchange levies, and regulatory charges on completed trades are non-refundable, as they are incurred at the point of execution and, in part, paid on to third parties. Where a fee has been charged in error, or charged twice, we will refund the incorrect amount in full to your account balance.

5. When We Will Issue a Refund

We will refund you where:

  • A deposit was duplicated, or credited for an amount different from the amount you actually sent.
  • A fee or charge was applied in error.
  • A transaction was processed on your account as a result of a verified technical fault on our side.
  • A deposit was made to an account that we were subsequently unable to activate, in which case the funds are returned to their source.

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method wherever possible, or credited to your Tuesday Markets account balance where the original method is no longer available.

6. How to Request a Refund

Contact us using the details below with your registered name, the date and amount of the transaction, and a short description of the issue. We aim to acknowledge refund requests within 2 business days and to resolve them within 14 business days. Where a request depends on confirmation from a bank or payment provider, resolution may take longer, and we will keep you updated.

7. Account Closure

If you close your account, any remaining cash balance is returned to you once all trades have settled and outstanding fees have been deducted. Securities held in your account must be sold or transferred before the account can be closed.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date and take effect immediately.
